The Cropping System uses the Crop*A*Syst risk assessment tool. Crop*A*Syst concentrates on environmental issues related to cropping activities, such as irrigation and water use, soil conservation and nutrient and pest management. Completing Crop*A*Syst requires the assistance of a trained groundwater technician from a local Conservation District, Michigan State University Extension (MSUE) or Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) office.
